When We Were Soldiers
When We Were Soldiers
September 20-November 9, 2013
When We Were Soldiers focused on the personal recollections of veterans of the Vietnam War. Displays in the gallery showcased the personal stories, photos and memorabilia of local veterans. The show opened September 20 with a Welcome Home reception for all the Vietnam veterans in our community. In conjunction with this exhibit, ArtFusion hosted free field trips for local middle and high school students to help them learn about this important period in our country’s history. The stories of each participating vet are below.
