KILN FIRED ENAMEL WORKSHOP (one adult and one teen 12+) with Hali MacLaren
$85.00 – $100.00
Creative fun for you and your tween or teen! In this two day workshop, we will be exploring a few of the many ways to create enameled jewelry on copper. Enameling is the technique in which glass particles are fused to metal in a 1500 degree kiln in just a matter of minutes! This process is an ancient form of coloring ferrous and non-ferrous metals dating back to the Mycenaean Period. We will be going over basic enameling techniques such as sifting, wet packing, stenciling, and sgraffito to create one of a kind little trinkets to add to bracelets, necklaces or earrings. Tuition includes all supplies (copper jewelry shapes, enamels, etc.) plus use of the school’s tools. Minimum four pairs. Tuition covers one adult and one child 12 and older.
