ADULT KILN FIRED ENAMEL WORKSHOP (two adults) with Hali MacLaren

Have fun creating with a friend! In this two day workshop, we will be exploring a few of the many ways to create enameled jewelry on copper. Enameling is the technique in which glass particles are fused to metal in a 1500 degree kiln in just a matter of minutes! This process is an ancient form of coloring ferrous and non-ferrous metals dating back to the Mycenaean Period. We will be going over basic enameling techniques such as sifting, wet packing, stenciling, and sgraffito to create one of a kind little trinkets to add to bracelets, necklaces or earrings. Tuition includes all supplies (copper jewelry shapes, enamels, etc.) plus use of the school’s tools. Minimum four pairs. Tuition covers two adults. SUMMER SESSION workshop runs 7/17 and 7/24. Classes run Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm each night. $85 per pair (member), $100 per pair (non-member).
