Lace Knitting Skill Builder Class with Anne Aycock


Want to take your knitting to the next level? Love all the beautiful shawls and sweaters that incorporate a touch of lace? Then please join me and learn to read and knit a lace pattern. New skills you will learn include yarn overs, making one right and left, decreasing right and left, why do stitch directions make a difference and lastly, how do you read the pattern, is it from right to left or the opposite? We will swatch a simple lace pattern and look at several patterns you might consider making as your first lace project. Supplies: You will need about one hundred yards of a sock weight or DK weight yarn and if using a sock weight yarn bring a US4 or 5, and if using a DK weight yarn a US6 or 7 size needle.  FALL SESSION Saturday, December 5 from 1-2:30pm. $35+ supplies (member), $40 + supplies (non-members). Minimum 3 students, maximum 4.
