In-Person Enameled Jewelry with Hali MacLaren
Enameling is the technique in which glass particles are fused to metal in a 1500 degree kiln in just a matter of minutes. This process is an ancient form of coloring ferrous and non-ferrous metals dating back to the Mycenaean Period. Students will learn traditional enameling techniques like sifting, wet packing, stenciling, and sgraffito, choosing from an assortment of colors and shapes to create your finished piece. This class will focus on creating landscapes. Students will learn how to design their image with colored pencils prior to the start. It may be helpful to bring inspiration images to the first class.
In Person Session Class begins April 13 and runs Thursdays from 4-6pm for 4 weeks. Maximum 6 students. Class is free, but requires an application
