MARCH POP-UP HOMESCHOOL ART (ages 7-17) with various instructors

Pop-Up Homeschool Art is a series of one-day workshops, taught by different instructors that each focus on a different technique or medium. Each month has a different theme. Students can sign up for one class, or take as many as they like. Pottery classes are $22 per class. All other classes are $18.
March’s theme is women artists. Class choices are:
- Pottery: Students will learn about and discuss the artwork of Ruth Duckworth. Looking a simple forms and how they are combined together, they will create a piece inspired by her work. Tuesday, March 3 from 1-2:30pm
- Watercolor: Students will learn about artist and illustrator Tammy Yee and will create an original watercolor painting inspired by her work. Tuesday, March 10 from 10:30am-noon.
- Mixed Media Self Portrait: Students will discuss the artwork of Shirin Neshat and complete a mixed media self portrait project inspired by her work. Thursday, March 19 from 10:30am-noon.
- Pottery: Students will discuss the work of Betty Woodman. Talking about form and how glazing can match the form or counteract, they will create a piece of pottery inspired by her work. Wednesday, March 25 from 1-2:30pm.
