Intermediate Wheel Throwing (age 18+) with Nikki Foreman Sept. 27

This class will focus on throwing on the wheel.  Students will be honing their centering skills, producing basic shapes (cylinders, bowls). We will then work on hand altering, trimming and surface decoration, and finally glazing our pieces.   Please bring reference photos of any specific project ideas.

Weeks 1-4 will be for making, trimming, altering and surface decoration. There will be a 3 week break for pieces to dry and get fired, with final day of glazing. Cost includes clay, 1 bisque firing and 1 glaze firing, and all glazes.

Due to limited wheels, this class will only have 3 students, with each student having their own wheel for the entire time. This limited class size also gives you more personal attention from the instructor.

Prerequisite: must have prior clay experience via other courses at ArtFusion 19464 or equivalent experience elsewhere with instructor/director approval.

In Person Session Runs Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm on September 27, October 4,11, and 18. We will return to glaze on November 15. $210. Minimum of 3 students, maximum of 3 students. Enroll by September 13, 2023. Our classes require a minimum number of students in order to run. If that minimum has not been met one week before the scheduled start of the class, the class will be cancelled. So please register early to avoid disappointment!
