The opening reception for When We Were Soldiers will be September 20 from 5-8pm. This event will be a welcome home celebration for the veterans, showing them thanks and appreciation for their service.
This amazing event will include a motorcycle ride, bagpipers, color guard from the Junior ROTC, a long overdue welcome home for our Vietnam veterans, and musical performances by Electrified, Margie Nace, and Haven’t You Heard, a men’s ensemble made up of talented singers from several local churches.
The opening ceremony will be held in the municipal parking lot on High and Charlotte Sts. It will be begin approximately at 5pm. Bring your American flags to show support for our vets! After the opening ceremony, guests can view the show at our facility until 8pm.
Please note: In addition to the municipal lot being closed, there will be no parking on either side of High Street from Charlotte to Penn that night You can park anywhere else on High St., in the large lot behind our building, or in the municipal lot on Hanover St.
