6th Annual Beer and BBQ Fundraiser

August 13, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This year Beef and Beer becomes Beer and BBQ. Join us on Saturday, August 13 from 6-9pm. Yummy expanded selection of meats from Pottstown’s own The Butcher and the BBQ, great sides from Montesano Bros., homemade desserts and more! Once again, Victory Brewing Company is generously donating their amazing craft brews for the event.

Tickets are $25 each. Click here for a regular ticket and here for a vegetarian ticket.

We just finalized our menu from The Butcher and the BBQ. While we have all enjoyed the hot beef sandwiches from previous fundraisers, we are so excited to expand our BBQ selection this year. Guests will be able to choose from pulled pork sandwiches, boneless and skinless chicken thighs and country sausage!

We will have great items for our door prize raffle, including original art, a Wegmans gift card, Reading Phillies tickets, Steel River tickets, Panera Bread gift certificate, special ArtFusion Art Experiences and more! Each guest will receive one complimentary ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased during the event.

Proceeds from the fundraiser help support our annual educational exhibit. This year we will focus on art and the environment with a show called Reclaim. Reclaim will be a celebration of art created from recycled, upcycled and salvaged items. The artists have been challenged to reclaim the definition of art, to show that creativity and imagination can expand our view of art as only paint and canvas.

During every educational exhibit, we offer free field trips to local schools. Each field trip is tailored to the age of the students and is a fun, interactive learning experience.  Students who visit during Reclaim will learn important facts about the environment, recycling and the newest inventions in the fight to tame our trash. They will also have an opportunity to create a piece of recycled art themselves. In keeping with the theme, we will talk with the students about how we can reclaim control over our how we interact with our world and how we affect the health and well-being of our planet.
