The Circle Legacy Center Powwow on Manatawny Creek is scheduled for the weekend of May 7 and 8. We hope you make plans to join us down at Memorial Park for this amazing event, which features Medicine Horse Singers and Dancers. Barry Lee will be the MC, the head male dancer is Matt White Eagle and the head female dancer is Chris Mourning Dove.
Admission is $5 per person. Active duty military and children under 6 are free. On Sunday, in honor of Mother’s Day, all moms get in free too!
The event happens rain or shine, and is wheelchair accessible. There is dedicated handicap parking at the Second St. entrance. Bring your own seating/blankets and be prepared to participate!
Doors open at 10am both days and the event goes until 7pm. There is a Grand Entry of dancers at 12noon each day. Music performances by Spirit Wing and dance exhibitions happen through the day. Shop at the incredible Native American craft vendors and try some great food prepared by Mama’s Soupe Coupe and the Circle Legacy Center. Menus include soup, buffalo burgers, Indian fry bread, fry bread tacos and wojapi. There will also be great events for kids, including story telling and fun Native American games. A silent auction will benefit the Circle Legacy Center.
