I have been creating for as long as I can remember. Decorative painting, stenciling, floral arranging, wreaths and repurposing and upcycling vintage items and small furniture are some of my art endeavors. Many years ago I had a craft store in Boyertown for 3 years that included craft supplies, local artisan creations and craft classes. I have continued teaching classes throughout the years at several different locations. I have been participating in craft shows for over 30 years.
It was during the COVID shutdown that I discovered the beauty and versatility of creating with botanicals. I started imprinting flowers and leaves into clay then cutting, baking, painting and finishing into ornaments and plaques. From there I started flower pounding which is transferring the pigment from flowers and leaves onto paper and fabric. Pressed flowers on ornaments and plaques are a big part of what I create. I flower print on tea towels, paper and wood pieces. I’m always looking to expand and try new and different art and craft mediums.
