Douglas Wilson thinks in 3-D. He enjoys sculpting narrative figures and altering functional ceramics to show motion and emotion. He studied bronze sculpture at Texas Tech University, portrait sculpture at Kalamazoo Art Institute, small figure sculpture at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago, and abstract sculpture at Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Maine. His work was recently installed at Historic Yellow Springs Nature Trail. The best part of making art for him is working among a community of creators giving feedback and inspiring each other to expand their own imaginations. At home he wrangles 3 dogs and 2 cats while eating pizza with his partner, Kevin.
