My canvas is my photography, and my paintbrush is my camera!
My husband and I like to travel throughout PA, NY, and other parts of the U.S., and I’m always toting my camera along on a hike or a trip. I enjoy taking unusual photos of scenery and nature, and sharing the beauty of nature’s design, textures, colors, and shadows, with the viewer.
I use my background in Art Education to help me with my photography, utilizing artistic principles of composition and incorporating textures, focus, light, shadows, and design. That is why I prefer black and white photography, because it challenges your senses to look for these artistic elements that you normally don’t realize are there.
My education started out years ago in Art Education at Indiana Univ. of PA, but I switched to a business major for a living. Now I have returned to my “art roots” for my soul’s satisfaction and great happiness!
